Let's see how a social application will allow us to chat.

At the Today in Montclair, 94611 blog, the functionality is limited to typical blogging and comments. Everything sort of ages out and it's sort of a one-way street of communications. So we signed up a "ning" account here which enables anyone to join and post messages to everyone. It's pretty simple and you can see what everyone is thinking.

It doesn't mean the blog will change, but this kind of social approach might come in handy if anyone needs to chat about...what to do, where to go, stuff for sale, good folks to hire, you name it. There doesn't seem to be a place to communicate locally about these matters. Heck, Montclarions even go over to the Berkeley parent network and its time to reclaim our identity.

Welcome, and we'll see how this grows and what YOU want to do.

Forget the stereotypes about what Oakland Police eat. We live in the Bay Area, so our finest are lined up...and taking a breakfast break (we think) at the Egg Shop instead.


There's something about the precise parking jobs by the motorcycle crew, too. See how all the bikes are lined up, with helmets perched on the rear-view mirrors? It's great, huh.
