Join the free pre-Independence Day celebration featuring the Oakland East Bay Symphony and fireworks, on Friday night. A little free culture should put you in a patriotic mood, down at the Craneway Pavilion, on the Richmond Waterfront.

The line-up? Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the Hilltop Community Church Mass Gospel Choir begins at 7:00 pm. The Oakland East Bay Symphony takes the stage at 8:00 pm, while fireworks erupt at 9:30pm.

The Oakland East Bay Symphony is conducted by Michael Morgan and will feature music that appeals to all ages:

- Bagley - National Emblem March
- Copland - Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo
- Fucik - Entry of the Gladiators
- Broadway - Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast medleys
- Beethoven - Symphony No. 5, first movement
- Bernstein - West Side Story Medley
- Ellington - Duke Ellington Fantasy
- Menken - Aladdin Medley
- Sousa - Patriot hits with the fireworks

More info: There will be food for sale at the venue. General and premium parking is available. Seating is limited and available on a first come first served basis, so guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs.

The Craneway Pavilion is located on 25 waterfront acres and delivers incredible views of the San Francisco skyline featuring floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire event space as well as a 20,000 square foot patio, perfect for viewing the City of Richmond's Firework Display.
