Event Description

This Sunday, the Friends of Montclair Railroad Trail will be launched on the trail.

Council Rep Jean Quan and her staffer, Sue Piper, will be manning a booth on the trial itself, starting at 10:30am. Just walk up La Salle and through the path to get there - the booth will be on the footbridge over Snake Road.

Today in Montclair wrote It's Tough To Enforce Leash Laws about the problems on the trail and there was a lot of interest in the safety of walkers and their kids!

Anyway, there are limited patrols and the idea is to make sure that everything stays safe and sound up there. They will administer a survey as well, in part to get volunteers.

Please check it out, especially if you like the path and use it. And reach Sue Piper if you can't make the event but still want to help out: spiper@oaklandnet.com or (510) 238-7042.
