DESCRIPTION:On Sunday, there's a special tour called of Oakland's hist
 oric North Field. Also known as Old Oakland Airport, this field was de
 dicated by Charles Lindbergh and often visited by Amelia Earhart. It's
  one of our most historic aviation sites!\n\nCome tour the original fi
 ve hangars, administration building, and hotel, all built between 1927
  and 1929. They are still largely intact so you can imagine aviation i
 n its early years.\n\nThis tour is hosted by the <a href=\"http://oakl
 andheritage.tumblr.com/post/50641386/current-events\" target=\"_blank\
 ">Oakland Heritage Alliance</a>. It usually runs $15/head ($10/head fo
 r members), to benefit the Alliance.\n\nWhile there, we suggest you al
 so add a visit to the <i>Western Aerospace Museum</i>. There's very co
 ol stuff like one of the few remaining <a href=\"http://en.wikipedia.o
 rg/wiki/Flying_boat\" target=\"_blank\">flying boats</a>, an airplane 
 like the one Amelia Earhart flew when she went down, and all kinds of 
 early flight exhibits. The museum's open until 4pm, and admission runs
  $9/adult, $8/senior, and $5/kid\n\n<i>Directions: Business Jet Center
 , 9351 Earhart Rd. (west on Hegenberger Rd. from 880, cross Doolittle.
  Immediately turn right on Earhart). Park in lot across from the build
