Sam Barry, comedian Dave's brother, will be stopping by A Great Book Place for his book tour-cum-harmonica concert - this Saturday at 7pm.
How to Play the Harmonica: And Other Life Lessons is all about life lessons. With the harmonica as guide, Barry will discuss how to achieve a higher sense of self and fun.
THE HARMONICA: • Is a self-contained pomposity-reducing unit • Keeps you from thinking too much about all the world’s bad news • Goes with any outfit, including chaps and a ten-gallon hat or dark sunglasses, or all three—not to mention your evening gown. And (extra bonus) it will fit in the teensiest evening purse, too! • Can make train sounds • Is modestly priced, so you have money left over to buy an icecream cone • Will not allow anyone (including yourself ) to take you too seriously
As a former minister, reporter, activist, writer and artist, Barry knows a great many things about life - and playing the harmonica. Barry plays in The Rock Bottom Remainders with his brother Dave Barry.
Expect some music - if his pals drop by, expect even more music. This should be fun!
